In Stores
Insert the card into the card reader to pay.

Tap the card on the card reader to pay.
THE Free Recharge
THE Free card can be topped up with foreign currency or Korean won at dozn exchange (self-service foreign exchange machines).
THE Free Withdraw
THE Free card balance can be withdrawn in Korean won at dozn exchange (self-service foreign exchange machines). You can withdraw of 50,000 KRW, 10,000 KRW, and 1,000 KRW.
Withdrawable Currencies
EZL (Transit Card) Recharge
EZL (Transit card) registered on the THE Free card needs to be topped up separately. You can recharge it at subway stations or convenience stores, just like regular transportation card.
EZL (Transit Card) Refund Guide
Refund methods for EZL (Transit card) depend on the remaining balance. Please refer to the following two methods.
1. Balance under 20,000 KRW,. You can withdraw it at a convenience store. 500KRW fee will be deducted, and the rest will be refunded in cash.
2. Balance over 20,000 KRW. You can request a refund via the "EZL Recharge" app or mail your card in a refund envelope.
Refund envelopes are available at convenience stores nationwide, please check availability before visiting!
If visiting a convenience store is difficult, you can download and print the refund envelope from the EZL website.
